001_The Bench Project

What if? Have you ever asked yourself that question? Which one, you ask. Well the title of course: What if? What if that bench wasn't mossy and rotting away. What if the rust was covered with white paint? When you ask yourself, "What if?" you begin to think. And thinking leads to doing. And that is exactly what we did. My brother, The Iron Fisher and I decided to take on our very first renovation project when our Dad spotted an old swing bench on the side of the road. The whole bench was covered in this aging moss like substance. So we sanded it off. This is a timelapse of us doing that very thing. Someone had the idea to take the boards off and sand them individually. Watching the moss disappear and reveal clean wood underneath was surprisingly satisfying. I cleaned up the frame a little and painted it white. I've made a gallery of photos to showcase our progress on the gallery page if you are interested. Welcome To Our Blog

Welcome, Welcome Hi there! I’m Mad Jack—yes, it’s a nickname, and no, I’m not actually mad all the time! Welcome to our blog, where a new chapter is just beginning. My brother and I started this space to document our magnet fishing adventures. After watching countless videos online, we decided to give it a shot ourselves. We ordered some magnets, headed out, and started fishing for metal. But we didn’t stop there. Since we both love working with our hands—building, creating, and thinking—we added a new section to the blog: renovations . For us, magnet fishing and renovating go hand in hand. It’s all about the thrill of seeing something that was rotting away be turned into something new. We’re excited to see where this goes, and we’re glad you’re here for the ride. Please share in the comments below your favorite thing to do in the summer!
